The Handpan workshop will be followed by two concerts of Ivo & Pavel: MYSTICAL DUET on the same day, at 4.30pm (link to sign-up) and 6.30pm (link to sign-up).

Ivo Sedlacek is a world-renowned musician whose work has been celebrated for its inspirational and influential qualities. Many years ago, Ivo began performing with his son, Pavel. Pavel, who started with classical guitar, discovered his true musical gift in the handpan. Over time, their unique musical synergy with Ivo’s spherical violins, flutes, and special string instruments has captivated audiences, providing a profound and ethereal listening experience.

Initially performing in their home country, the Czech Republic, Ivo and Pavel have since been invited to share their enchanting music across the globe, including in the USA, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia.

Ivo Sedlacek is a world-renowned musician whose work has been celebrated for its inspirational and influential qualities. His use of spherical violins, flutes, and special string instruments creates a unique and engaging musical experience that has captivated audiences around the world.

Pavel started studying classical guitar at the age of seven and, after a few years, won the national classical guitar competition. His innate musical talent inspired him to explore other musical instruments (drums and percussions, string instruments), leading him to find his own very unique instrument: the handpan. He is now considered one of the most remarkable and original handpan players in the world. Pavel performs solo and with his father Ivo; he also conducts handpan workshops, gives individual lessons, and makes presentations about this unique musical instrument.
