What the Community Music Jam is about
This monthly Sunday music jam is for anyone who loves music and would love some company to enjoy co-creating it with. Whether you've got a shy voice, are a shower singer or amateur musician or maybe are a musical pro, this is a loosely guided space for us to play in together.  

The experience
We'll begin with some guided warming up of our bodies and voices, followed by a few simple songs all together, before we let the circle organically unfold. You're welcome to bring a song to share, and have the group join in with you. The focus here is less on getting a particular tune right, but a chance to join in with whatever sound or instrument you feel to, so you can rest easy - there is no way to do this "wrong"!  Instruments will also be provided.


The Why
This is a chance to bring some play and sense of connection into your week! Singing and making music moves us out of the mind into the flow of the present moment, reducing stress levels and bringing about a natural high. When we do so as a group, all that goodness is amplified, with the added bonus of connecting with new musical playmates. 

Who this is for
This is for anyone who misses making/sharing music with others, wants to build more confidence in using their voice in a group setting or who might have a song to share that you'd like others to join you in. You're welcome to bring a favourite instrument, song or lyric to co-create our time together.

About the organiser, Diana
Diana is a body-oriented coach, somatic therapist and embodiment facilitator. Drawing from decades of embodied experience in the therapeutic, meditative and movement arts, she offers grounded space in movement, touch, sound and inquiry explorations. Sound is soul medicine for her - whether as a listener, co-creator or guide.

Before Attending:
  1. Have the waiver form in your account signed.
  2. Arrive 10 min early to allow for time to find the venue and have your attendance taken.
  3. Be dressed in comfortable attire, bring at least 750 ml of water, and extra clothes to change into if needed. 
  4. Shoes are not needed as you're required to remove them before entering the studio.

Cancellation Policy
  1. There will be no refunds provided to you if you cancel.
Latecomers Policy
We understand that stuff happens, and for reasons beyond your control, you may turn up late for class. To be fair to everyone, we have a 15 min grace period for latecomers, after which you may not be allowed to join the session.

 Cancellation or Rescheduling by Hello Body
  1. The session may be cancelled when it does not meet the minimum required number of reservations. When this happens, you will be notified via email and/or WhatsApp 24 hours in advance, and rest assured, your credit will remain in your account.
  2. The session may be cancelled in the unlikely event that the organiser falls sick and no substitute organiser is available at the last minute. If this happens, you will be notified via email and/or WhatsApp as soon as possible, and rest assured, your credit will remain in your account.
  3. Hello Body reserves the rights to reschedule the session and provide at least 24 hours notice via email and/or WhatsApp.
